Kindergarten Registration for the 2017 -18 School Year


2017-18 Kindergarten Registration Letter

Any Hancock County student entering Preschool, Kindergarten or Second grade are required to provide proof of a health examination or physical and proof of a dental examination by a licensed dentist.  Proper forms will be distributed by our school nurse in the Spring for the physician to complete at the appointments.    All proper immunizations and health examinations are due on the first day of school for the 2017-2018 school year.

Please join us in preparation for the WV General Summative Assessment:  SMARTER BALANCED for "Superheroes in Training" Family Fun Night on Tuesday, April 25 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.  It promises to be an informative, fun interactive way to learn about ways to help your child prepare for the SMARTER BALANCED Assessment.  You and your child may wear your favorite Super Hero themed clothing.  We will have a photo booth to capture the moment!  See the flyer below for more information.

Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Under FERPA, a school must annually notify parents of students in attendance of their rights under FERPA. The annual notification must include information regarding a parent's right to inspect and review his or her child's education records, the right to seek to amend the records, the right to consent to disclosure of personally identifiable information from the records (except in certain circumstances), and the right to file a complaint with the Office regarding an alleged failure by a school to comply with FERPA. The school must also inform parents of its definitions of the terms "school official" and "legitimate educational interest."
